What do you provide for wedding, civil union and vow renewal ceremonies?
I play and sing contemporary & traditional Hawaiian songs with my 6-string ukulele during the prelude, procession, recession and conclusion of the ceremony. For the prelude and procession, I recommend “The Hawaiian Wedding Song” since it is the most fitting selection to begin a ceremony here in Hawaii. I play an instrumental version and I sing this song in English and Hawaiian. During the recession, I recommend “Over the Rainbow/Wonderful World” because of its appropriateness and popularity. At the conclusion of the ceremony, I play and sing some other songs while family, friends and guests mingle and during picture taking. I continue to play until the entire ceremony gathering has ended.

What type of instrument do you play?

I use a 6-string Pono Ukulele that was handcrafted from Acacia Koa wood at the Ko’olau Guitar & Ukulele Factory in Wahiawa, Oahu.

What is your normal attire for ceremonies?

Black dress slacks, black shoes and a beige or white short sleeve dress shirt.

Do you take song requests?

On occasion, I do take some requests. If you have a specific request, send me the song title, composer or performer and the lyrics (if possible) via email and I’ll let you know if I can perform the song for you. If I am able to perform the song, I do not charge an additional fee.

Do you provide amplified sound?

I do not provide amplified sound but I firmly believe my acoustic music, both indoor and outdoor, is sufficient for most any occasion.

Other than wedding and civil union ceremonies, how long can you play continuously? Such as for a cocktail hour AND a reception?

For continuous acoustic music, I require a 1 hour minimum but I can play and sing continuously for up to 3 hours. If needed, I can perform for a ceremony, cocktail hour and a reception which may be over 3 hours.

How much time do you require in advance for bookings? For emergencies, are you available for “day of” performances?

I take bookings up to 18 months in advance and I have no minimum time requirement in regards to “late” bookings and no extra charges. For planning and availability purposes, I highly recommend all bookings to be made in advance to confirm all services requested. If I am available to perform at your preferred location and time on a “day of” occasion, I can make it happen! Promptly call and email me at I will contact you as soon as possible.

How much do you charge?

I try to make my services as reasonable and affordable to ALL my prospective and returning clients. Please email me the time, date, location, type and/or description of the event you are planning and I will provide you with the best possible price! As an added bonus, the longer I play, the more of a discount you’ll receive!
